About The Brand

Motherhood Redefined is a mental health organization, founded by Latoya Hamm Wilson, dedicated to destigmatizing therapy and helping moms of color break free from society’s unhealthy expectations. Through their culturally responsive counseling and mental health services, they provide brave spaces for moms to unapologetically prioritize wellness.

Project Challenge

Before partnering with The Rebrand Lab, Motherhood Redefined had several challenges that were hindering their growth. The previous website was too centered around Latoya, the Founder, and her personal identity so she wanted to shift towards creating a more community-focused brand. This was a major part of our focus while going through the rebranding process.

Despite having a substantial social media following, Motherhood Redefined's previous website wasn’t set up to monetize their audience effectively. Latoya needed a streamlined website that marketed all of the brand's services and resources including a searchable wellness directory and an event page where people could purchase tickets for workshops and gatherings.

Our final focus was shedding the DIY feel of Motherhood Redefined's previous branding and website which Latoya had designed herself. It lacked the professional polish necessary to reflect the brand’s professionalism, build trust, and secure support through sponsorships and donations.

Project Results

Motherhood Redefined's rebrand is fresh and community-focused. The new website includes significant improvements that align with Latoya’s longterm vision for the brand. Featuring new brand photography, the site now creates a stronger sense of community, shifting the focus away from Latoya herself and creating a more inclusive space for maternal wellness.

The new, professional design replaced the DIY aesthetic, elevating the brand's credibility. The brand's website functionality was also enhanced with the addition of a searchable directory, event signup pages, sales pages, and more.

The updated website was built with monetization in mind, featuring clear pathways for sponsorships, donations, and community-driven income streams that will help Latoya effectively leverage the brand’s large social media following.

A Deeper Perspective

Latoya wanted to start prioritizing email marketing but needed to build up the Motherhood Redefined email list. We designed a custom lead magnet quiz with gated quiz results to create a fun and interactive way to collect email addresses from website visitors.
